Steak with Red Onion Relish

Serves 2


2 x T-bone steak (or steak of choice)
4 x slices polenta
2 x tbsp olive oil
1 x red onion sliced
1 x tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 x tbsp red wine vinegar
1 x tsp brown sugar (you could use palm)
2 x cups green beans to serve


  • heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan – heat and add in onion. Once translucent add in balsamic and vinegar an sugar and stir until thickened and glossy. Put aside.
  • In another pan, spray pan with olive oil and start cooking polenta and steak. Cook steak until desired “well-ness”
  • in a pan of boiling water, blanch green beans for 10 minutes so still crispy!

Plate up and serve. YUM!
